“In matters nuclear one thing is certain: there is no protection in an iron curtain.” A letter in The Times May 3rd, 1986.
On the 26th of April 1986 shortly after midnight, to be precise, at 1:23 GMT, there occurred near the Ukrainian town of Chernobyl a tremendous explosion at a huge nuclear power plant, followed by a gradual meltdown of the reactor No. 4.
These are the machineries used to evacuate Chernobyl.
Hundreds of pieces of Russian army hardware is left on the small field right near to Chernobyl. All this machinery has participated in Chernobyl accident liquidation and is radioactive from top to bottom. Now it dies out under the open skies of deserted Chernobyl.

A 27 year old woman called 911 three times Saturday 28 February to report that a McDonald’s employee wasn’t giving her a refund for the chicken nuggets she wanted.
When police arrived at the scene she told them that she ordered 10 piece McNuggets menu, paid and received the change and then was told that McDonald’s run out of McNuggets. The woman then tried to get a refund but the cashier told her it was against McDonald’s policies and that all sales are final. Therefore she was “instructed” to buy a McDouble.
This is what she told in one of the 3 calls:
The manager just took my money and won’t give me my money back, trying to make me get something off the menu that I don’t want. I ordered chicken nuggets. They don’t have chicken nuggets, and so I told her, ‘Just give me my money back,’ and she tells me I have to pick something else off the menu. She is not going to give me my money back, and she don’t have the right to take my money.
LHC – it’s a scientific experiment, a machinery to be more specific, placed near Geneva 100 meters underground and with a 27km circumference.
It is a particle accelerator used by physicists to study the smallest known particles – the fundamental building blocks of all things.
It’s a particle accelerator where it should be recreated the stage after the Big Bang, on a MUUUUCH smaller scale. This experiment will be live on September 10th 2008.
Below you can watch a video material in which a phisician, too much enthusiastic I shall say, presents us the LHC.
Many say that this experiment will create small Black Holes, which because of their masses will somehow sink into Earth’s core and if “they” make it, “they” will gain the required energy to annihilate our planet heart and many, many fantastic stories like that… This theory it’s so ‘lite’ that even a 10 years old child can ‘blow’ it away.
Of course, there is the: “Nostradamus said” variant.
I only had the patience to watch the first 3 minutes…
And to clarify that everything will be just fine, take a look at this video below.
So, September 10th 2008… Are you still frightened? Well, don’t be because:
“That will be one small step for men, one giant leap for mankind.”
Ok. As unprofessional it may sound it represents the best the problems I encountered in Photoshop CS4.
First of all I should explain the problem.
I have installed on my system the entire Adobe Creative Suite 4. My system consists in:
WinXP Professional 32bit with SP3 installed
2Gb RAM
Ati HD3870 – drivers up to date
Core 2 Duo E8400 (3GHz)
And [...]
Ok. This might seem a little awkward, but there are some times when nothing seems to work properly. In my case, Adobe’s Creative Suite 3.
My problem
Was that with Adobe CS3 installed and working I ran Adobe Photoshop CS4 Portable. When I first open the Photoshop CS4 .exe file I received an error stating that Photoshop [...]
